Installation [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM

    NOTE:
    • When replacing the rear disc brake pads with new ones, make sure to replace the rear disc brake anti-squeal shim kit at the same time.
    • Do not apply lubricants to the lining surface of the brake pad.
    • Install the anti-squeal shims in the correct position and direction.

      *1 Rear Disc Brake Pad *2 No. 1 Anti-Squeal Shim
      *3 No. 2 Anti-Squeal Shim *4 Inner Anti-Rattle Spring
      Grease (Part No. 90999-94254) Brake Shim Grease (Part No. 08887-80409)
      1. Apply a light coat of grease (Part No. 90999-94254) to the rear disc brake pads as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        When applying grease, use the grease enclosed with a rear disc brake pad kit or supplied grease (Part No. 90999-94254) or equivalent.

      2. Apply brake shim grease (Part No. 08887-80409) to the rear disc brake pads and No. 1 anti-squeal shims at the positions shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Use the grease supplied with the anti-squeal shim kit or brake shim grease (Part No. 08887-80409) or equivalent.
        • Do not apply grease between the No. 1 and No. 2 anti-squeal shims.
      3. Install the inner anti-rattle springs to each of the rear disc brake pads.
      4. Install the No. 1 and No. 2 anti-squeal shims to each of the rear disc brake pads.
  2. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT

    WARNING:

    Be careful not to get pinched by the disc brake cylinder assembly or other parts when installing the rear disc brake pads.

      1. Using SST, push back the rear disc brake piston.
        • SST: 09719-77010 
        NOTE:
        • Make sure the brake fluid does not overflow from the reservoir.
        • Do not forcibly push in the rear disc brake piston.
      2. Install the 2 rear disc brake pads to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
  3. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE FITTING KIT

      1. Install the No. 1 anti-rattle spring to the rear disc brake cylinder LH.
      2. While pressing the area (A), install the 2 hole pins (B).
      3. While pressing the area (A), slightly pull out the hole pin (B) from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH, and install the pin hold clip.
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
  5. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2020 - ]

  6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2020 - ]

  7. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2020 - 12/2022]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
