Installation [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR DISC LH

      *a Matchmark - -
      1. When reusing the rear disc LH:

        Align the matchmarks of the rear disc and rear axle hub and bearing assembly LH, and install the rear disc LH.

      2. When replacing the rear disc LH:

        Inspect the rear disc runout.

        See step  5

        NOTE:

        When replacing the rear disc with a new one, select the installation position where the rear disc has minimal runout.

      3. Temporarily install the 5 hub nuts.
  2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG 
  3. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Torque: 151 N*m (1540 kgf*cm, 111 ft.*lbf) 

  4. CONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

      1. Connect the rear flexible hose to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH with a new union bolt and a new gasket.

        Torque: 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Install the rear flexible hose lock securely into the lock hole in the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  7. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE FITTING KIT 
  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

      1. Connect the reservoir level switch connector.
      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2020 - 12/2022]

      3. Perform the following procedure if air bleeding is not necessary:

        1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).

        2. Depress the brake pedal and release it.

        3. Clear the DTCs.

  9. BLEED BRAKE LINE 

    Refer to BLEEDING [11/2020 - ]

  10. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [11/2020 - ]

  11. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2020 - ]

  12. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2020 - 12/2022]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  13. PARKING BRAKE SHOE BEDDING 

    Refer to UTILITY [11/2020 - ]
