Removal [11/2021 - 12/2022]: Procedure

  1. CAUTIONS FOR COOLANT (TOYOTA GENUINE FC STACK COOLANT (Pre-mixed)) 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 12/2022]

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE FC STACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  5. DISCONNECT FC CONVERTER POWER OUTLET CABLE (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY)

  6. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY

  7. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE

  9. REMOVE FRONT COMPARTMENT UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  10. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  11. REMOVE FRONT COMPARTMEMT UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  12. DRAIN COOLANT (TOYOTA GENUINE FC STACK COOLANT (Pre-mixed)) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  13. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY C

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water hose sub-assembly C.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose sub-assembly C.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  14. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY B

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water hose sub-assembly B.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the water hose sub-assembly B.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  15. REMOVE ELECTRIC HEATER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Connector (A) *b Connector (B)
      *c Green-colored Lock - -
      Slide - -
      1. Slide the green-colored lock of the connector (A) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
        WARNING:

        Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

        NOTE:

        Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with vinyl tape.

      2. Disconnect the connector (B).
      3. Remove the 3 bolts and electric heater sub-assembly.
