Removal [11/2021 - 12/2022]: Procedure

    NOTE:
    • If the intake passages are contaminated with foreign matter such as metal fragments or resin fragments, the FC air compressor and FC stack could be damaged as a result.
    • When intake system components have been removed, protect the openings of the removed intake system components, and the components they were connected to, from foreign matter contamination by covering them with plastic bags.
    • Before installing intake system components, check that no foreign matter has entered through the openings.
    • When intake system components have been removed, if the rubber parts of connecting portions are stuck, or the wiring is damaged, etc., replace the affected components with new ones.
    • When connecting the hose of the intake system, do not use any lubricants such as grease or oil.
  4. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  5. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE FC STACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE FRONT COMPARTMENT UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  10. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  11. REMOVE FRONT COMPARTMENT UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, cover the connecting portions of the air cleaner hose assembly and FC air compressor with motor assembly with plastic bags.

      1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, cover the connecting portions of the No. 15 FC inverter cooling hose and FC air compressor with motor assembly with plastic bags.

      1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, cover the connecting portions of the FC air compressor breather hose and FC air compressor with motor assembly with plastic bags.

    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • Do not touch the rubber seal of the inverter terminal cover.
    • The inverter terminal cover has an interlock connector, so pull it up perpendicularly.
    • Do not allow foreign matter or water droplets to enter into the inverter with converter assembly.

      1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets, cover the opening of the inverter with converter assembly with protective tape.
  35. REMOVE FC AIR COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    WARNING:
    • Be sure to perform this procedure with several people as the FC air compressor with motor assembly is very heavy.
    • Hold the FC air compressor with motor assembly so that it does not tilt or fall.

      1. Support the FC air compressor with motor assembly with a transmission jack.
      2. Remove the 5 bolts, FC air compressor with motor assembly and FC air compressor bracket from the FC stack frame assembly.
