Reassembly [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure

   Install in this Direction

   -

   -

   1. Remove the clips from new front door No. 3 weatherstrip.
   2. Clean the surface of the front door.
      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front door.
      2. Wipe off any adhesive residue with cleaner.
      3. Using a heat light, heat a new front door No. 3 weatherstrip and the front door surface.

         • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
         • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
         • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

         Standard Value

         Part	Temperature
         Front door No. 3 weatherstrip	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   3. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front door No. 3 weatherstrip.
   4. Attach the clips and install the front door No. 3 weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

   1. Clean the front door panel surface.

      1. Remove the double-sided tape from the front door weatherstrip and front door panel.

      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Using a heat light, heat the front door panel and front door weather strip.
      WARNING:

      • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

      Standard

      Item	Temperature
      Front Door Panel	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
      Front Door Weatherstrip	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   3. Remove the peeling paper from the front door weatherstrip.

      HINT: 

      After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

   4. Engage the clips and install the front door weatherstrip with the double-sided tape.

   Nut

   Bolt

   1. When re-using the bolt:

      1. Clean the threads of the bolt.

      2.Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

      Adhesive

      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

   2. Install the front door check assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.

      Bolt 

      Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf/cm, 20 ft.lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

1. When re-using the front door lock assembly:

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
   2. Engage the guides to install the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
   3. Engage the clamp to install the wire harness.
   4. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

   5. Engage the snap and install the front door lock open rod LH as shown in the illustration.

   1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

   2. Install the hole plug.

   1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the screw.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf)

   Nut

   Connector

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door window regulator sub-assembly.
   2. Install the front door window regulator assembly with the 7 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

   3. Connect the connector.

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf) 

Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)

   1. Connect the multiplex network door computer FR RH.
   2. For Driver Side:

      1. Connect the multiplex network master switch assembly.

   3. For Front Passenger Side:

      1. Connect the power window regulator switch assembly.

   4. Connect the 2 connectors to install the front door trim board sub-assembly.
   5. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch on.
   6. Move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolt holes can be seen turn the ignition switch off.

   1. Insert the front door glass sub-assembly into the front door panel along the front door glass run as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly.

   2. Install the front door glass sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

   1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.
   2. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.
   3. For Driver Side:

      1. Disconnect the multiplex network master switch assembly

   4. For Front Passenger Side:

      1. Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly.

   5. Disconnect the multiplex network door computer FR RH.

HINT: 

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
