Reassembly [11/2020 - 12/2022]: Procedure
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP
Install in this Direction - - - Remove the clips from new front door No. 3 weatherstrip.
- Clean the surface of the front door.
- Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front door.
- Wipe off any adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Using a heat light, heat a new front door No. 3 weatherstrip and the front door surface.WARNING:
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light - Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
Standard Value
Part Temperature Front door No. 3 weatherstrip 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
- Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front door No. 3 weatherstrip.
- Attach the clips and install the front door No. 3 weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

- Clean the front door panel surface.
1. Remove the double-sided tape from the front door weatherstrip and front door panel.
2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Using a heat light, heat the front door panel and front door weather strip.WARNING:
Standard
Item Temperature Front Door Panel 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Front Door Weatherstrip 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) - Remove the peeling paper from the front door weatherstrip.
HINT:
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Engage the clips and install the front door weatherstrip with the double-sided tape.
- Clean the front door panel surface.
- INSTALL UPPER DOOR FRAME GARNISH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Nut Bolt - When re-using the bolt:
1. Clean the threads of the bolt.
2.Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.
Adhesive
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.
- Install the front door check assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Bolt
Torque: 27 N.m (275 kgf/cm, 20 ft.lbf)
Nut
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)
- When re-using the bolt:
- INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL
- When re-using the front door lock assembly:

- When re-using the front door lock assembly:
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCK/UNLOCK KNOB LOCKING CABLE
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER REMOTE CONTROL CABLE
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

- Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
- Engage the guides to install the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- Engage the clamp to install the wire harness.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the screw.
Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf)
- Engage the snap and install the front door lock open rod LH as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf/cm, 75 in.lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Connect the multiplex network door computer FR RH.
- For Driver Side:
1. Connect the multiplex network master switch assembly.
- For Front Passenger Side:
1. Connect the power window regulator switch assembly.
- Connect the 2 connectors to install the front door trim board sub-assembly.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch on.
- Move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolt holes can be seen turn the ignition switch off.
- Insert the front door glass sub-assembly into the front door panel along the front door glass run as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly.
- Install the front door glass sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)
- Insert the front door glass sub-assembly into the front door panel along the front door glass run as shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.
- For Driver Side:
1. Disconnect the multiplex network master switch assembly
- For Front Passenger Side:
1. Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly.
- Disconnect the multiplex network door computer FR RH.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL HOLE PLUG
- INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU
- INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)
- INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
- INSPECT FITTING OF FRONT DOOR

- CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
