Disassembly [11/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE FRONT SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Parking Support Brake System)

  9. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      1. Heat the adhesive of the front ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light.

        Standard Value

        Part Temperature
        Front Ultrasonic Sensor Clip 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
        • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the front ultrasonic sensor clip excessively.

      2. Remove each front ultrasonic sensor clip.

      1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
      2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
        WARNING:
        • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
        • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      Bolt Airbag Connector
      1. Disconnect the 2 airbag connectors.
        NOTE:

        When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

        HINT: 

        Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector: Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [11/2020 - ]

      2. Remove the 3 bolts.
      3. Detach the claw and guide and remove the front bumper energy absorber sub-assembly.
