Removal [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [06/2017 - ]

  2. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  4. REMOVE REAR DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  5. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the skid control sensor wire connector from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the rear axle hub and bearing assembly or connector cover.

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear axle hub and bearing assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
