NOTE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

for A25A-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]

for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

WARNING:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side)

REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

REMOVE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR

Check that the ignition switch is off.

Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

WARNING:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Disconnect the connector from the door side airbag sensor.

NOTE:

When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

Push down the white housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
NOTE:
Do not push down the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting the connector.

Remove the nut and disengage the claw to remove the door side airbag sensor.

Check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.
