Installation [06/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Install the airbag sensor assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 17.5 N*m (178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Temporarily tighten the 2 bolts in the order of (A), (B) and then fully tighten the 3 bolts in the order of (C), (A) and (B).
      • If the airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
      • When installing the airbag sensor assembly, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
      • When the ignition switch is first turned to ON after the airbag sensor assembly has been replaced, make sure that no one is in the vehicle.

    4. Temporarily connect the connector and then move the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow to securely connect the connectors.
      NOTE:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    5. Check that there is no looseness in the installed parts of the airbag sensor assembly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for Dual Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  4. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CAUTION PLATE COVER (for TMC Made) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  5. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL 

    for A25A-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD 

    for A25A-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  8. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  9. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  10. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  11. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  12. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  15. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  16. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  17. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  18. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  19. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [08/2018 - 09/2019]

  21. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    for Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    for Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  22. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    for TMC Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

    for TMMK Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    for TMMK Made Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  23. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    for TMC Made: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  24. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2017 - 09/2019]

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for TMC Made)

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for TMMK Made)

  29. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - ]

  30. PERFORM YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. When the airbag sensor assembly is replaced, perform zero point learning for the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

      w/o Electric Parking Brake System: Refer to CALIBRATION [06/2017 - 10/2020]

      w/ Electric Parking Brake System: Refer to CALIBRATION [06/2017 - 10/2020]

      HINT: 

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor is built into the airbag sensor assembly.
