Reassembly [10/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Engage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the front bumper side retainer LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Install the front bumper reinforcement with the 8 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the 5 clamps.

    3. Install the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    4. Install the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Engage the 4 guides to install the front bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 2 front bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the 2 front fender liner retainers as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH (for Mesh Type Radiator Grille) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws.

    2. Install the front bumper side moulding LH with the 2 clips.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH (for Mesh Type Radiator Grille) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bar Type Radiator Grille) 
    1. Engage the 17 claws.

    2. Install the lower radiator grille sub-assembly with the 4 screws.

  10. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Mesh Type Radiator Grille) 
    1. except TRD:
      1. Engage the 6 guides and 24 claws.

      2. Install the lower radiator grille sub-assembly with the 4 screws.

  11. INSTALL LOWER CENTER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING (for Mesh Type Radiator Grille) 
    1. except TRD:
      1. Engage the guide and 4 claws.

      2. Install the lower center radiator grille moulding with the screw.

  20. INSTALL FRONT CENTER BUMPER BAR (for Bar Type Radiator Grille) 
    1. Install the 4 screws.

    2. Install the front center bumper bar with the 2 clips.
  21. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Install the front bumper upper retainer with the screw.
  22. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM ASSEMBLY

    2. Install the radiator grille emblem assembly with the screw.

  23. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When installing the hood to front end panel seal, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.

    1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.
      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Engage the 6 clips.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new hood to front end panel seal.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Engage the guide and attach the double-sided tape as shown in the illustration to install the hood to front end panel seal.

      HINT: 

      Press the hood to front end panel seal firmly to install it.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER (for TRD) 

    HINT: 

    When installing the front spoiler, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new front spoiler.

      HINT:

    4. Attach the double-sided tape as shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
    5. Install the front spoiler with the 2 screws and 2 clips.

  28. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD LH (for Bar Type Radiator Grille) 

    HINT: 

    When installing the front bumper pad LH, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.
