Removal [09/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2019 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws, 7 clips and front fender liner LH.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 19 [09/2019 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 19 [12/2021 - ]

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 20 [09/2019 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 20 [12/2021 - ]

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 2

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 3

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

      *a Hood Lock Bolt
    2. Disengage the guide to remove the hood lock assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  11. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 26 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 26 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - STEP 26 [12/2021 - ]

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the guide.

    2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the clamps.

      *a Grommet - -
    2. Disengage the grommet.
    3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
