1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the hood lock nut cap.

1. Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

2. Disengage the guide to remove the hood lock assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

1. Disengage the claw to remove the hood lock control cable holder as shown in the illustration.

   Remove in this Direction

1. Remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the clamps.

2. Disengage the grommet.
3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
