Removal [02/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR FRAME BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 5 mm (0.197 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads.
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the speaker cone.
      • Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and rivet installation hole. Line up the drill with the rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.
      • Be careful as the drilled rivet will be very hot.

    3. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments.
    4. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.
    5. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the rear speaker assembly.
