Installation [04/2018 - ]: Procedure

HINT: 

When installing a new rear spoiler sub-assembly, heat the luggage compartment door panel and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

WARNING:

• Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
• Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

1. Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.
   1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.
   2. Remove any double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.
   3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
2. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the rear spoiler sub-assembly installation area.
   NOTE:

   • Use a clean brush or felt.
   • Do not touch the luggage compartment door panel until the primer has dried.
3. Remove the release paper from a new rear spoiler sub-assembly.
4. Attach the double-sided tape and engage the 5 clips to install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

   HINT: 

   Press the rear spoiler sub-assembly firmly to install it.

5. Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

   Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
