Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2022 - ]

  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [08/2022 - ]

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [08/2022 - ]

  10. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [08/2022 - ]

  11. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the connectors.
    2. Remove the bolt and nut.

    3. Disengage the guide to remove the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.
  12. REMOVE NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 telephone bracket.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 telephone bracket.
