Removal [06/2015 - 11/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2015 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
    3. Disconnect the front door lock open rod as shown in the illustration.
    4. Remove the front door with motor lock assembly.
    5. When reusing the front door with motor lock assembly:

      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door with motor lock assembly.
  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the guides to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly from the front door with motor lock assembly.

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door with motor lock assembly.

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the guide to remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door with motor lock assembly.
