Removal [06/2015 - 11/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2015 - ]

  2. CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    2. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

      Remove the screw.

    4. Push the left side of the lower steering column cover to disengage the claw and guides.

    5. Push the right side of the lower steering column cover to disengage the claw and guides to remove the lower steering column cover.
  6. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Disengage the clips and guides to separate the meter hood spacer.

    2. Disengage the claw and guides to remove the upper steering column cover.

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      *a Protective tape
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      If the claw is pulled with excessive force, it may break.
