Removal [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly side.

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  11. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  13. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the clips to pull the combination meter assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hands Here
      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      When the combination meter assembly is pulled upward, be careful that it does not contact the windshield glass and damage the glass.

    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the combination meter assembly.
