DTC P0105-15: Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    HINT: 

    Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.

    1. Disconnect the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to No. 1 Turbo Pressure Sensor)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C77-3 (VC) - C77-2 (E2) Ignition switch ON 4.5 to 5.5 V
      C77-1 (PIM) - C77-2 (E2) Ignition switch ON 1.2 to 5.25 V
    4. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C77-2 (E2) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω
      C77-3 (VC) - C77-1 (PIM) Ignition switch off 171 to 189 kΩ

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 1 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 turbo pressure sensor connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C77-2 (E2) - C88-84 (EPIM) Always Below 1 Ω
      C77-1 (PIM) - C88-83 (PIM) Always Below 1 Ω
      C77-1 (PIM) or C88-83 (PIM) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
