Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL NO. 1 TURBO WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 4 stud bolts.
Torque: 19.5 N.m (199 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)
- Rotate the converter with catalyst assembly outwards around the stud bolts to secure install space.
- Install the turbocharger sub-assembly with 4 new nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
NOTE:After tightening the 4 nuts to the specified torque, tighten the first nut again.
- Install the No. 1 turbo oil pipe and turbocharger sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf)
- Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 4 stud bolts.

- INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE CLAMP

- INSTALL CONVERTER WITH CATALYST ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR BRACKET
- CONNECT NO. 3 TURBO WATER HOSE
- CONNECT NO. 2 TURBO WATER HOSE
- INSTALL NO. 1 TURBO INSULATOR
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
Specified tightening torque
Torque: 44 N.m (449 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL DASH PANEL HEAT INSULATOR
Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf)
- INSTALL COMPRESSOR INLET ELBOW SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Type A:
*a Protrusion - - - Install a new throttle body gasket to the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.
- Install the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly and turbocherger sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)
- Type B:
*a Protrusion - - - Install a new throttle body gasket to the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.
- Install the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly and turbocherger sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)
- Type A:
- INSTALL VACUUM REGULATING VALVE ASSEMBLY

Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- INSTALL AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

- CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
- INSTALL PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
