Removal [06/2018 - 01/2019]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. SEPARATE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 3 bolts to separate the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE E.F.I. VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
    4. Remove the bolt.

    5. Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.
  9. SEPARATE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and separate the No. 3 water by-pass pipe from the intake manifold.

  10. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt (A).

    2. Remove the bolt (B).
    3. Disengage the guide to remove the intake manifold stay.
  11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

  12. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      w/o Stud Bolt:

      1. Remove the 5 bolts and separate the intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
    2. w/ Stud Bolt:

      1. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.
      2. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and separate the intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    3. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector.

    4. Remove the intake manifold.
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET 
    1. Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.

  14. REMOVE VACUUM HOSE 
    1. Remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
