Buzzer does not Sound [04/2018 -]: Procedure

  1. CHECK RCTA BUZZER (BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER) 
    1. Check that the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) sounds when the initial check is performed.

      Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [04/2018 -]

      OK

      RCTA buzzer sounds

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2018 -] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [04/2018 -] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RCTA BUZZER - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH) 
    1. Disconnect the K22 RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      K22-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power Switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      K22-2 (BZN) or P6-3 (BUZ) - Body ground Below 1 V
      K22-2 (BZN) - K22-1 (BZP) Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RCTA BUZZER - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH AND AUXILIARY BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the K22 RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.
    2. Disconnect the P6 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K22-2 (BZN) - P6-3 (BUZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      K22-2 (BZN) or P6-3 (BUZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      K22-2 (BZN) or P6-3 (BUZ) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      K22-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      K22-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RCTA BUZZER (BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER). Refer to  ADJUSTMENT [04/2018 -] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
