Adjustment [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

PRECAUTION
NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE BATTERY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.

Remove the nut and transmission control shaft lever from the manual valve lever shaft sub-assembly.

Loosen the 2 bolts of the park/neutral position switch.

Align the protrusion with the neutral basic line.

Hold the park/neutral position switch in position and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
Install the transmission control shaft lever to the manual valve lever shaft sub-assembly with the nut.
Torque: 12.7 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
Connect the park/neutral position switch connector.
