Removal [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
- REMOVE FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
- REMOVE BATTERY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER AND HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws, disconnect the transmission control cable with clip from the transmission control cable bracket.
- Remove the clip from the transmission control cable.
- Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable from the shift lever.
- Using a screwdriver, pull out the transmission control cable stopper.NOTE:
Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.
- Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 270° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.
- Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the transmission control cable from the body.
- Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
