Removal [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  4. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws, disconnect the transmission control cable with clip from the transmission control cable bracket.
    3. Remove the clip from the transmission control cable.
    4. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable from the shift lever.

    5. Using a screwdriver, pull out the transmission control cable stopper.

      NOTE:

      Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

    6. Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 270° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.

    7. Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the transmission control cable from the body.
