Installation [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pass the transmission control cable from the cabin into the engine compartment.
    2. Install the transmission control cable with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install a new clip onto the control cable bracket.

      *1 Claw A
      *2 Claw B
      *3 Transmission Control Cable
    4. Install the transmission control cable onto the transmission control cable bracket.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the claws A (*1) on the clip are securely fit into the bracket holes.
      • Make sure that the cable is securely installed inside of the claws B (*2) of the clip.
      • After installation, lightly jiggle the transmission control cable and make sure that it does not come loose from the transmission control cable bracket.
    5. Check that the park/neutral position switch is in the N position.
    6. Connect the transmission control cable onto the transmission control shaft lever with the nut.

      Torque: 13 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    7. Rotate the transmission control cable nut counterclockwise approximately 270° and, while holding the nut in that position, press in the stopper until it makes 2 "click" sounds.

    8. Push the lock piece up from the back side of the adjuster case while pinching the claws on the lock piece.

    9. Connect the cable outer of the transmission control cable onto the shift lever retainer, check that the position of the spring is the same as A shown in the illustration, and press in the stopper.

      HINT: 

      If the stopper cannot be pressed in, slightly rotate the nut clockwise and then press in the stopper.

    10. Connect the transmission control cable end to the shift lever.

      *1 Lock Piece
      NOTE:

      Check that the lock piece is pulled up.

  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Install the front No. 1 floor heat insulator to the body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. INSTALL BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 62

  7. INSTALL FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    1. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
  9. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION
