Installation [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD ATTACHING SCREW 
    1. Set the 2 steering wheel pad attaching screws.
  2. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH 
    1. Install the cruise control main switch with the 2 screws.
    2. Install the wire harness.
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Steering Pad Switch) 
    1. Attach the 3 guide pins and claw to install the switch with the 2 screws.
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Steering Pad Switch) 
    1. Attach the 3 guide pins and claw to install the switch with the 2 screws.
  5. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Steering Pad Switch) 
    1. Attach the 6 guide pins and 2 claws to install the steering pad switch assembly with the 4 screws.
  6. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel and steering main shaft.

      *a Matchmark
    2. Install the steering wheel set nut.

      Torque: 50 N.m (510 kgf/cm, 37 ft.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL STEERING PAD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  12. INSPECT STEERING PAD 
  13. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2015 - 08/2017] )
