DTC P2759: Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SLU) [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU) 
    1. Disconnect the D41 No. 1 transmission wire connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      12 (SLU+) - 4 (SLU-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      12 (SLU+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      4 (SLU-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM)

    1. Disconnect the D56 ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D56-10 (SLU+) - D56-11 (SLU-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      D56-10 (SLU+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D56-11 (SLU-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU 
    1. Remove the shift solenoid valve SLU.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Connect the battery positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating noise.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLU 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 )
