DTC P0748: Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SL1) [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1) 
    1. Disconnect the D41 No. 1 transmission wire connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      11 (SL1+) - 3 (SL1-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      11 (SL1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3 (SL1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM)

    1. Disconnect the D56 ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D56-14 (SL1+) - D56-15 (SL1-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      D56-14 (SL1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D56-15 (SL1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to:REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1 
    1. Remove the shift solenoid valve SL1.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Connect the battery positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the solenoid valve connector. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating noise.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION WIRE 

    Refer to:REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1
