Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 55

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 54

  7. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56

  8. REMOVE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 2 claws.
    3. Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Detach the 2 guides and remove the telephone and GPS antenna assembly with bracket.
  9. REMOVE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 claws.

    2. While moving the telephone and GPS antenna assembly in the direction indicated in the illustration, detach the 4 guides and remove the telephone and GPS antenna assembly from the navigation antenna bracket.
