Removal [08/2015 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 
    1. Discharge the fuel system pressure (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube from the fuel pressure regulator (for quick type A) (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).

  5. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe (for quick type A) (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).

    2. Disconnect the fuel tube from the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe (for quick type A) (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly from the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly (for quick type B) (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).
  7. DISCONNECT NO. 3 VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 3 ventilation hose and No. 6 wire harness connector.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe.

      NOTE:

      When removing the delivery pipe, hold the pipe by both ends and pull it straight upward.

    2. Remove the 2 spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head RH.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the No. 7 wire harness connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 fuel delivery pipe.
      NOTE:

      When removing the delivery pipe, hold the pipe by both ends and pull it straight upward.

    3. Remove the 2 spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head LH.
  12. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the fuel injector from the fuel delivery pipe, and then disconnect the injector connector.

      NOTE:

      For reinstallation, attach a tag or label to the injector shaft.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the fuel injector.
