DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [08/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ]

      OK

      B1507 and B1508 are not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2017 - 08/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2018 - 08/2019]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ] 

    Result:

  2. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Check the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Front side turn signal light does not illuminate. A
      Side turn signal light does not illuminate. B

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SIDE CIRCUIT) 
    1. for LH Side:
      1. Disconnect the H140 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the A63 headlight assembly LH connector.
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H140-9 (LL) - A63-2 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
        A63-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-9 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RH Side:
      1. Disconnect the H140 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the A64 headlight assembly RH connector.
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H140-10 (LR) - A64-4 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
        A64-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-10 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the headlight assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2017 - ]

    2. Inspect the headlight assembly.
      1. for LH Side: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2017 - ]
      2. for RH Side: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2017 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SIDE TURN SIGNAL CIRCUIT) 
    1. *: w/ Outer Rear View Mirror Type Side Turn Signal Light
    1. for LH Side:
      1. Disconnect the H140 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the M5 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector*.
      3. Disconnect the O23 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H140-11 (RLT) - M5-4 (TRNL)* Always Below 1 Ω
        M5-3 (GND) - Body ground* Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-11 (RLT) - O23-1 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
        O23-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-11 (RLT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RH Side:
      1. Disconnect the H140 combination meter assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the L6 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector*.
      3. Disconnect the O22 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        H140-12 (RRT) - L6-4 (TRNR)* Always Below 1 Ω
        L6-3 (GND) - Body ground* Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-12 (RRT) - O22-1 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
        O22-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        H140-12 (RRT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      OK (w/ Outer Rear View Mirror Type Side Turn Signal Light) A

  6. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for LH Side 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M5-4 (TRNL) - A-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      M5-3 (GND) - A-6 Always Below 1 Ω

      for RH Side 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L6-4 (TRNR) - A-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      L6-3 (GND) - A-6 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

  7. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2017 - ]

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
