Installation [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD 
    1. Install the brake pedal pad onto the brake pedal.
  2. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the brake pedal support with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 15 N.m (155 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

    2. Install the No. 3 brake pedal bracket to the brake pedal support.
    3. Temporarily install the brake pedal support, No. 3 brake pedal bracket and brake pedal lever with the bolt and nut.

    4. Install the bolt to the No. 3 brake pedal bracket.

      Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf/cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

    5. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the inner surface of the hole on the brake pedal and return spring mounting bracket of the No. 3 brake pedal bracket.
    6. Install the brake pedal return spring.
    7. Tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque: 23 N.m (239 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN 
    1. Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the inner surface of the hole on the brake pedal lever.
    2. Set the push rod clevis in place, insert the push rod pin from outside the vehicle and then install a new clip.
      NOTE:

      After assembly, check that the pedal operates smoothly.

  4. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER 
    1. Install the stop light switch mounting adjuster.
  5. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Install the defroster nozzle duct with the bolt.

  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 54

  9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56

  11. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 48

  13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  14. CHECK AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL 
    1. Check and adjust brake pedal (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).
  15. CHECK MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL 
    1. Check the master cylinder pressure sensor signal (Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).
