Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:
    • Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2020 - ]

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  13. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  14. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  18. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  19. REMOVE REAR UNDER SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  20. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  21. REMOVE REAR PILLAR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  22. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  23. REMOVE NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  24. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER HOOK A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  25. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  26. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel filler opening lid lock cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  27. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER 
    1. Turn and remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Turn in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
  28. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the fuel lid lock with motor assembly.
