Removal [06/2015 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration, lift up the front end portion of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to disengage the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
*1 Rear Seat Cushion Lock Hook *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Rear Hooks Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) Remove in this Direction (3) NOTE:To avoid deforming the cushion frame, lift the cushion by holding the area close to the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
- Disconnect the connector.
- While pushing in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration, disengage the hook at the rear of the rear seat cushion frame.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrows (3) in the illustration, pull out the rear seat inner LH from the belt slit of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration, lift up the front end portion of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to disengage the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
*a Protective Tape Remove in this Direction HINT:
Use the same procedure to open all the caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guides.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disengage the hook and loop fastener to separate the rear seat 3-point type outer belt assembly RH and rear seat 3-point type outer belt assembly LH.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Lift up in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration to disengage the guides.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration to remove the rear seatback assembly.NOTE:
- When moving the rear seatback assembly into the vehicle, perform the work with at least 2 people.
- Be careful not to damage or scratch the vehicle body or body interior.
- Do not damage the vehicle.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
