Removal [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      *1 Release plate
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
    3. Disconnect the release plate to remove the rear door lock assembly as shown in the illustration.
    4. When reusing the rear door lock assembly:

      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly.
  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the guides to remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly from the rear door lock assembly.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the guide to remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly from the rear door lock assembly.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the guide to remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly from the rear door lock assembly.
