Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.
- Disengage the hose clamp and disconnect the vacuum switching valve assembly from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.
- Disengage the hose clamp.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
- Disengage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.
- Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Disengage the fuel tube sub-assembly from the clamp.
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
*1 No. 1 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose - Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- REMOVE FUEL HOSE BRACKET
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
