Installation [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to a new O-ring.

      *1 O-ring
    2. Install the O-ring to the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly.
    3. Install the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly to the fuel delivery pipe with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly.

  2. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    *1 Fuel Tube Sub-assembly
    *a Retainer
    *b O-ring
    *c Nylon Tube
    *d Fuel Tube Connector
    *e Fuel Pipe
    1. Connect the fuel tube sub-assembly to the fuel delivery pipe.
      NOTE:

      Check if there is any damage or foreign matter on the connecting parts of the fuel lines.

      1. Align the fuel tube connector with the fuel pipe, and push the fuel pipe into the fuel tube connector until the fuel tube connector makes a "click" sound. If it is difficult to push the fuel pipe into the fuel tube connector, apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the tip of the fuel pipe.
      2. After connecting the fuel lines, check that the fuel pipe and fuel tube connector are securely connected by pulling on them.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to install a new No. 2 fuel pipe clamp.
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2013 - 11/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

  5. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67
