Disassembly [12/2012 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2012 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 08/2016]

  3. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL 
    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 clips, 5 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
  4. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws, 2 clips and guide and remove the door assist grip cover LH.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear door inside bezel plug LH.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 8 clips and remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH.
    3. Disengage the rear door lock remote control cable assembly LH and rear door inside locking cable assembly LH from the 2 clamps.

    4. Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable and rear door inside locking cable LH.
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and guide and remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Raise the 6 claws of the rear door inner glass weatherstrip LH as shown in the illustration, and then remove the rear door inner glass weatherstrip LH from the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector of the rear door lock assembly LH.

    2. Pull out the rear door lock remote control cable LH, rear door inside locking cable LH and wire harness from the rear door service hole cover LH, and then remove the rear door service hole cover LH.

      HINT: 

      Remove any remaining butyl tape from the rear door panel.

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Temporarily install the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Move the rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH so that the rear door glass channel can be seen.
    4. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 08/2016]

    5. Remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
    6. Remove the screw and 2 bolts.

    7. Remove the rear door window division bar sub-assembly LH together with the rear door glass run as shown in the illustration.

    8. Remove the rear door window division bar sub-assembly LH from the rear door glass run LH.
  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH 
    1. Remove the rear door quarter window glass LH.

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the rear door quarter window weatherstrip LH from the rear door quarter window glass LH.

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly LH from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the door glass.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear door glass channel sub-assembly LH.

      *1 Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL FILLER 
    1. Remove the rear door glass channel filler.

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH 
    1. Remove the front side of the rear door glass run LH.
  19. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      *1 Temporary Bolt
    2. Loosen the temporary bolt.
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH may fall and become damaged.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH.
    4. Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly LH.
  20. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Double-sided Tape
    2. Detach the 2 guides, and remove the double-sided tape and rear door stiffener cushion LH.
      NOTE:

      Remove any remaining tape from the door.

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  23. REMOVE REAR DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  24. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Detach the claw and open the cover.

    2. Remove the rear door lock remote control cable LH.

  25. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and open the cover.

    2. Remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly LH.

  26. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK CHILD PROTECTION COVER LH 
    1. Remove the rear door lock child protection cover LH.

  27. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the rear door outside handle cover LH.

  28. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Pull and hold the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      The release plate may interfere with the rear door outside handle assembly and may be damaged when removing the rear door outside handle assembly, unless the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly is pulled and held.

    2. Remove the rear door outside handle assembly LH by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

  29. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear door front outside handle pad.

  30. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.

  31. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.

    2. Slide the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH to detach the claw of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH, and then remove it.
  32. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and rear door check assembly LH.

  33. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Detach the 19 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip LH.

  34. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the rear door frame garnish LH.

  35. REMOVE DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING CLIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  36. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  37. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  38. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE STRIPE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  39. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - ]

  40. REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL CUSHION 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear door panel cushion.
