Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Package Tray Trim) 

    (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 )

  3. REMOVE REAR ABSORBER CAP (w/ Package Tray Trim) 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear absorber cap.

  4. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Support the spring seat of the rear axle beam assembly using a jack and wooden block.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Wooden Block
      *2 Jack
      WARNING:

      Do not jack up the rear axle beam assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.

      NOTE:

      Keep supporting the rear axle beam assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear shock absorber assembly is complete.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts while keeping the piston rod from rotating.

    3. Remove the rear shock absorber cushion retainer and rear suspension support.
    4. Remove the bolt while holding the nut and remove the rear shock absorber assembly.

      *1 Wooden Block
      *2 Jack
      NOTE:

      Since a stopper nut is used, turn the bolt.

  5. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT STOPPER 
  6. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
