DTC P0710-00: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance [08/2018 - 10/2020]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.

   Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes 

5. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   Only DTC P0710-00 is output	A
   DTC P0710-00 and P0710-15 are output	B
   DTC P0710-00 and other DTCs are output	C

   HINT: 

   If any DTCs other than DTC P0710-00 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

GO TO DTC CHART (DTC P0710-15). Refer to  DTC P0710-15: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Battery or Open [06/2017 - ]

GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2018 - 09/2019]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2019 - 10/2020]

   Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2019 - ]

1. Disconnect the C96 ECM connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C96-86 (THO1) - C96-133 (ETHW)	ATF temperature 10°C (50°F)	5 to 8 kΩ
   C96-86 (THO1) - C96-133 (ETHW)	ATF temperature 110°C (230°F)	0.22 to 0.28 kΩ
   C96-133 (ETHW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   C96-86 (THO1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   HINT: 

   If the resistance is out of the specified range at the ATF temperature shown in the table below, the driveability of the vehicle may decrease.

1. Disconnect the C92 transmission wire connector.
2. Disconnect the C96 ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   C92-2 (OT-) - C96-133 (ETHW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
