Removal [10/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2020 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Removable Headrest) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  9. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  10. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  14. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2021 - ]

  16. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  18. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  19. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  20. REMOVE FUEL PUMP CONTROL ECU 
    1. Disconnect the 2 fuel pump control ECU connectors.

    2. Remove the nut and fuel pump control ECU from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the fuel pump control ECU if it has been dropped or subjected to a severe impact.

  21. REMOVE FUEL PUMP CONTROL ECU BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pump control ECU bracket from the fuel pump control ECU.
