Removal [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  3. REMOVE FAN SHROUD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Open the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
    3. Disconnect the generator assembly connector from the generator assembly.
    4. Disconnect the compressor and magnetic clutch connector.
    5. Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts and then disconnect the generator assembly bracket.

    7. Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

    8. Disconnect the wire harness clamp and then remove the generator assembly bracket.

    9. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.
