Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ] ).

  2. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2019 - ]

  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2019 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2019 - ]

  5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2022 - ]

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and airbag assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
      NOTE:

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
