- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SMRB STATUS)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / SMRB Status.
- Read the Data List.

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the upper hybrid vehicle battery cover sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36
- Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the hybrid battery junction block assembly connector.
Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [02/2014 - ]

- Install the upper hybrid vehicle battery cover sub-assembly.

After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the upper hybrid vehicle battery cover sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36
- Disconnect the x3 HV battery junction block assembly connector.
- Disconnect the F136 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F136-4 (SMRB) or x3-4 (SMRB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector and the HV battery junction block assembly disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
