Installation [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

- INSTALL FUEL TANK CUSHION
- Install a new No. 1 fuel tank cushion to the fuel tank assembly.
- Install 4 new No. 1 fuel tank cushions, a new No. 2 fuel tank cushion and a new No. 3 fuel tank cushion to the fuel tank assembly.
- INSTALL GROMMET
- Install the grommet to the fuel tank assembly.
- INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL TUBE CLAMP
- Install the No. 1 fuel tube clamp to the fuel tank assembly.
- INSTALL FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Engage the clamp to install the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly to the fuel tank assembly.
- INSTALL FUEL TANK WIRE
- Engage the 6 clamps to install the fuel tank wire to the fuel tank assembly.
- INSTALL FUEL TANK SOLENOID MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY
- Install the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly to the fuel tank assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to the fuel tank assembly.NOTE:
- Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and fuel tank assembly before performing this work.
- After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly.
- Connect the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly connector.
- Install the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly to the fuel tank assembly with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY
- Set the fuel tank assembly on an engine lifter.
HINT:
Using height adjustment attachments and plate lift attachments, keep the fuel tank assembly horizontal.
- Using the engine lifter, slowly raise the fuel tank assembly, and then install the fuel tank assembly with the No. 1 fuel tank band sub-assembly LH and No. 1 fuel tank band sub-assembly RH with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- Be careful not to drop the fuel tank assembly.
- When installing the fuel tank assembly, tilt it slightly to prevent it from interfering with the surrounding parts.
- Set the fuel tank assembly on an engine lifter.
- CONNECT FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE
- Connect fuel tank to filler pipe hose to the fuel tank assembly.

- Connect fuel tank to filler pipe hose to the fuel tank assembly.
- CONNECT FUEL TANK WIRE
- Engage the clamp to connect the fuel tank wire.
- Connect the 2 fuel tank wire connectors.
- CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)
- Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the bolt and nut.
- CONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER ELBOW TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Connect the fuel tank breather elbow tube sub-assembly to the fuel tank assembly.

- Connect the fuel tank breather elbow tube sub-assembly to the fuel tank assembly.
- CONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Connect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly to the fuel pipe.
Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2016 - ]
- Connect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly to the fuel pipe.
- CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Engage the clamp to connect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly.
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to the canister (charcoal canister assembly).

- INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Engage the 4 grommets to install the No. 1 fuel tank protector sub-assembly to the fuel tank assembly.
- Install the screw.
- INSTALL NO. 3 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
- Install the No. 3 front floor heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 4.9 N*m (50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf)
- Install the No. 3 front floor heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 4 nuts.
- INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER

- INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2016 - ]
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

- ADD FUEL
- INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
