Installation [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

HINT: 

Only perform this procedure when replacement of the charcoal canister leak detection pump sub-assembly is necessary.

1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new charcoal canister leak detection pump sub-assembly to the charcoal canister sub-assembly.

   NOTE:

   • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-ring.
   • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.

1. Engage the clip to install the canister (charcoal canister assembly) to the vehicle body.
2. Install the canister (charcoal canister assembly) with the 4 bolts.

   Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

3. Connect the wire harness clamp bracket to the canister (charcoal canister assembly) with the bolt.

   Torque: 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)

4. Engage the wire harness clamp to connect the canister (charcoal canister assembly).
5. Connect the purge line hose to the fuel tube and slide the clip to secure it.
6. Connect the charcoal canister leak detection pump sub-assembly connector.
7. Push the air line tube onto the pipe (charcoal canister leak detection pump sub-assembly) until the air line tube makes a "click" sound and push in the retainer.
   NOTE:

   • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (charcoal canister leak detection pump sub-assembly) before performing this work.
   • After connecting the air line tube, check that the air line tube is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

8. Push the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly onto the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.
   NOTE:

   • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (canister (charcoal canister assembly)) before performing this work.
   • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

1. Install the rear engine service cover assembly to vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

   Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

1. Connect the 3 clips and install the front center floor cover to the rear engine service cover assembly.
2. Install the 5 bolts and 4 screws.
