Disassembly [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (VAPOR PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 4 claws, and remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly from the fuel filter assembly.
*a Protective Tape NOTE:Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the 2 fuel pump harness connectors.
*a Ground Terminal of Fuel Pump Harness - Disconnect the ground terminal of the fuel pump harness.
- Disengage the clamp to disconnect the fuel pump harness from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.
- Remove the O-ring from the fuel filter assembly.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 4 claws, and remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly from the fuel filter assembly.
- DISCONNECT FUEL PUMP HARNESS
- REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP CUSHION RUBBER
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP
- Remove the fuel pump from the fuel filter assembly.
- Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.
*1 O-ring *2 Fuel Pump Spacer *a 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) NOTE:Be careful not to damage the sealing surface.
HINT:
If the O-ring still remains in the fuel filter assembly, remove it using a wire tip (1 mm (0.0394 in.) diameter) that is formed as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the fuel pump from the fuel filter assembly.
