Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  2. REMOVE FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (VAPOR PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  4. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  3

  5. DISCONNECT FUEL PUMP HARNESS 

    See step  4

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT 

    See step  5

  7. REMOVE FUEL PUMP CUSHION RUBBER 

    See step  6

  8. REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER 

    See step  7

  9. REMOVE FUEL MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for Low Pressure).

      1. Remove the clip from the fuel filter assembly.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the fuel main valve assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

        *a Protective Tape
        NOTE:
        • Pull out the fuel main valve assembly carefully because the O-rings are firmly installed between the fuel main valve assembly and fuel filter assembly.
        • Do not damage the fuel filter assembly.
      3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve assembly.

      Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for High Pressure).

      1. Remove the clip from the fuel filter assembly.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the fuel main valve assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

        NOTE:
        • Pull out the fuel main valve assembly carefully because the O-rings are firmly installed between the fuel main valve assembly and fuel filter assembly.
        • Do not damage the fuel filter assembly.
      3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve assembly.
