Installation [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT 
    1. Make sure that the No. 1 cylinder is at TDC/compression.

      HINT: 

      Check that the cutout of the camshaft timing gear assembly (for exhaust side) is at the top and align the timing mark (cutout) of the crankshaft pulley with the timing mark on the timing chain cover assembly.

    2. Apply engine oil to the areas of the camshaft timing gear bolt shown in the illustration.

    3. While holding the crankshaft pulley, temporarily install the camshaft timing gear bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft timing gear bolt has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • If there is any abnormal resistance when temporarily installing the camshaft timing gear bolt, loosen it and make sure that the No. 1 cylinder is at TDC/compression, and then temporarily install the camshaft timing gear bolt again.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the flange part of the camshaft timing gear bolt contacts the entire circumference of the camshaft timing gear assembly.

    4. While holding the crankshaft pulley, loosen the camshaft timing gear bolt 60 to 180°.
    5. Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise 30 to 90°.
    6. While holding the crankshaft pulley, tighten the camshaft timing gear bolt.

      Torque: 95 N*m (969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not use an impact wrench.

  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

  3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

  4. INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  6. INSTALL RESERVOIR BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  7. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  9. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2014 - ]

  10. INSTALL ECM 

    See step  4

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70

  13. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71

  14. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  15. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 74

  16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 79

  17. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH 

    Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
